The Bell, Bath Fringe Festival

"pipes,
bouzouki, harmonium, live bass and rhythm loops: if that sounds
contrived on paper, it doesn't for a moment in the flesh; lovers
of our old mates 'elephant talk' or the live end of the worldbeat
remix mafia will get it in a moment. sounds like one for the dancing
shoes."

"The Future Sound
of Exeter have booked Panacea three times and on each ocasion they
were fantastic! For the uninitiated, Panacea combine driving, funky
bass with dextrous Turkish percussion, beautiful acoustic guitar and
pulsating bouzouki, stirring pipes and droning harmonium, all overlaid
with strong drum loops and atmospheric samples. They get an audience
moving and create a wonderful 'east meets west ambience' ideal for
any high quality world music night. We've had them supporting the
Suns of Arqa, Asian Dub Foundation and Celloman, and they played a
key role in the amazing 2004 Exeter Respect festival. Their performance
was energetic yet sublime each time, and we will certainly book them
again for another appropriate event. Catch Panacea when you can -
you won't regret it!"
